Salary for the monthestimate

How it is worked out

  • Paid days = days present + paid leave (up to the working days), minus half a day for every late check-in beyond the free allowance.
  • Earned = each part of the salary × paid days ÷ working days.
  • PF = 12% of earned Basic + DA, on wages up to ₹15,000 — so at most ₹1,800 a month.
  • ESI = 0.75% of earned gross, rounded up, only when the full-month gross is ₹21,000 or less.
  • Net pay = earned − PF − ESI − professional tax.

In KYE HR, working days come from your work week and holidays, days present from GPS- and face-checked check-ins, and leave from approvals. PF and ESI follow on their own. How payroll works →

Questions

The employee's PF is 12% of Basic + DA (the PF wage), not of gross salary. Most companies cap the PF wage at ₹15,000, so the employee share is at most ₹1,800 a month. This calculator applies that cap.
The employee pays 0.75% of gross wages while their gross is ₹21,000 a month or less. Above that, no ESI is deducted. This calculator checks the full-month gross and charges ESI on what was earned.
Salary is paid for paid days only: days present plus paid leave. Each earning is multiplied by paid days and divided by the working days in the month, so absent days without leave reduce the pay proportionally.
No. It shows what is deducted from the employee's pay. The employer's contributions are paid on top and are not taken out of the salary.
